Each year we offer a unique conference that is completely focused on Outreach Services.
Library staff and advocates are welcomed to join us as this conference
designed with practicality and the understanding that professional development
and networking are essential parts of your success.

About the Conference

#ABOS2025 is the conference for Outreach Services. Our conference planners and presenters understand the constraints of serving community members beyond the physical walls of the library, as well as the unique opportunities for innovation and collaboration within communities. Our conference is packed full of information you can take right back to serve your communities through Outreach Services.

In person registration includes pre-conference, all pre-conference sessions, conference sessions and events,
3 breakfasts and 2 lunches.

The virtual conference consists of on-demand recordings, access to vendor booths and networking opportunities.

Hotel Reservations

      Room Rate            $179 + Taxes/Fees (Single and Double Rooms Available)

A block of rooms has been reserved specifically for conference attendees. The online hotel registration portal will open June 1 with the link listed here. Reservations must be made no later than September 8, 2025 in order to receive the group rate. Reservations made after that date are not guaranteed to be a part of the group block and/or receive the group rate.

Outreach Vehicles on Display

If you are interested in having your outreach vehicle on display at the Conference, click here to email the following information - where you area located, the year/type of vehicle you are looking display, and the manufacturer.

Travel Information

If you will be arriving to the conference by air, the nearest airport is the St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). The airport is located 14 miles to the hotel, approximately 20 minutes travel time. There is not a hotel shuttle from the airport. Ride share services or taxi are available.

Continuing Education Units

Because each state sets its own requirements for Continuing Education Certification, we are unable to offer credit or certificates. We recommend you visit your state library’s website for information on obtaining credit for national conferences. We also strongly suggest that you keep a copy of your registration receipt, conference program, and a list of sessions you attend as proof of your attendance.

Conference Session Proposals - CLOSED

Thank you to all who submitted a proposal. Proposals are currently being reviewed, and those selected to present at the Conference will be notified by May 30. Presenters are asked to wait to register for the Conference until they have been notified on the status of their proposal.

Conference session proposals were accepted March 1 through May 15. 

ABOS Awards & Scholarships - CLOSED

Thank you to all who submitted a nomination for an award or scholarship. Nominations are currently being reviewed, and those selected will be notified by June 6. Nominees are asked to wait to register for the Conference until they have been notified on the status of their nomination.
