Highlights the achievements of an individual new to the profession who displays a passion for the bookmobile and outreach profession, both at work and via volunteer or association activities. The Rising Star Award candidate must have worked in the bookmobile and outreach field for five years or less. 

A complete nomination should include: 

• A description of how the nominee displays a passion for the bookmobile and outreach profession, both at work and via volunteer or association activities.

• A description of how the nominee makes an impact in the community they serve. 

• A description of one event, project, or program that displays why the nominee is a Rising Star.

• Two letters of recommendation. 

The Winner receives complimentary conference registration to attend the ABOS Annual Conference the year they are selected. 

One Rising Star Award will be presented in 2026.
