Ian Gosse, Board Member at Large '27

Ian is the Book Bike Librarian at the Oak Park Public Library in Illinois, where he has worked since 2012. Ian started his library journey with a seven year stint in circulation, before transferring to outreach work. Ian ran the library's home delivery program for five years concurrently with co-leading the book bike program, before transferring solely to the lead of the bike program starting in 2025. He has a breadth of experience in outreach, storytelling, in-house programming, and circulation work.

Ian grew up in Virginia, went to Ohio for his undergrad, and has been in Illinois ever since. He is an avid gamer, of both video and tabletop games. Ian also enjoys audiobooks and loves languages/linguistics.
